Ahoy! Captain George moved from the Caribbean to "The Caribbean of Canada" 36 years ago, a transition that was written about in a 1982 Gulf Islands Driftwood article. Along the way he opened the Hummingbird Inn, the Gulf Islands Film & Television School, and was an Island Trustee. But connecting with the ocean and sharing his discoveries with others has always been his reason for being a Gulf Islander.

Your captain has navigated vessels from the Arctic Circle to the clear waters of the Grenadine Islands....and loves sharing his  tales about these passages. Pictured here is Tor Helge, the boat he captained across the Atlantic and then ran as a charter boat business in the Caribbean. 

Our boat is a 35' William Trip Jr. designed Coronado sloop, Sandpiper. Seasoned skipper and blue water sailor, George Harris, will treat you to an amazing afternoon, day, sunset or overnight(s) cruise. Captain George is immensely grateful to be able to share his love of sailing and the hidden gems he's discovered over his decades' of exploring these precious waters.
